2010-2011 Dance Team Tryouts
So ya think ya can dance? Why not tryout for the LC Dance Team?
LUXEMBURG-CASCO DANCE TEAM TRYOUTS
WHEN and WHERE: Try-out practices for the 2010-2011 Dance Team will be held in the high school library lobby Monday, April 5, 3:30 – 5:30 and Tuesday, April 6, 3:30 – 5:30 P.M. Tryout will be held in the school auditorium starting at 4:15 P.M. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, with all candidates reporting to the Luxemburg-Casco High School Library Lobby at 3:45 P.M. Tryouts should conclude at approximately 6:00 P.M. However, this is dependent on the number of candidates.
WHAT TO BRING: All forms, a water bottle, a blank CD clearly marked with your name (if you would like a copy of the routine music).
WHAT TO WEAR TO TRYOUT PRACTICE: Black pants slender type, nice fitting - Narrow leg without flare. Shirts or tank tops with midriff NOT visible. Please wear sports bra. Tennis shoes or black dance shoes are acceptable. Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or bun with bangs secured back. No jewelry please!
PRACTICE ATTENDANCE: Practice attendance is mandatory unless excused by the head coach. Contact the head coach by phone or email and let her know you may be missing. This is your responsibility!
If you have a spring sports commitment, that should be your first priority. Please do not jeopardize that team’s practice schedule or game schedule to attend the try out / practice. Your first priority is the commitment you made to that team. If you must miss a day of practice, then it will be necessary for you to find someone to teach you the routine outside of the scheduled time.
TRYOUT ATTIRE:
Black pants: slender type, nice fitting - Narrow leg without flare. White/light tank top or shirt with minimal printing. Shirts should be tucked in (or fitted) and stomach should not be visible. Please wear sports bra. Tennis shoes or black dance shoes are acceptable. Hair should be pulled back in a ponytail or bun with bangs secured back and makeup should be applied. No jewelry please!
Attendance Expectations: If you are selected as a Luxemburg-Casco Dance Team Member, you should be aware that practices and performances are not optional – they are mandatory. There will be practices scheduled during the fall and throughout the winter season, as well as mandatory summer dance classes TBA.
School year practices are held Monday through Thursday that school is in session from 3:05 – 5:30 P.M. Friday practices will take place before competitions. You are expected to be in attendance at every practice, for the entire practice time, and at each scheduled performance. Involvement in any activity that would cause a conflict, be it a job, athletics, clubs or other school activities, will make it impossible for you to be a member of the dance team. This is a team activity; therefore it is essential that this rule be enforced.
